How we review
Last updated: October 2026
Every verdict on AdToolVerdict comes from using the tool ourselves. We do not rewrite vendor marketing pages, and we do not rate tools we have not tried.
1. We use the tool like a customer
We sign up on the free plan or a paid plan, the same way you would. We note what the free plan really allows, how credits are spent and where the paywalls are.
2. One brief, every tool
For ad creative tools we give each tool the same product and the same brief, then compare the results side by side. Screenshots on our pages come from these tests.
3. What we score
| Criterion | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Output quality | Would we run this creative in a real campaign? Realism, voice, pacing, visual quality. |
| Ad readiness | Aspect ratios, captions, hooks, variations, export formats for Meta and TikTok. |
| Speed | Time from brief to a usable creative. |
| Real cost | Price per usable video or asset, not just the headline plan price. |
| Ease of use | How fast a marketer without editing skills gets a good result. |
| Rights and limits | Commercial use, watermarks, credit limits, fair-use caps. |
4. Honest cons, always
Every review lists real downsides and says who should not buy the tool.
5. We keep pages fresh
We re-check prices and plans on official pricing pages every month and show the "Updated" date on each page. If a tool changes a lot, we re-test it.
